As one of the biggest natural threats for years bares down on the capital, I hope and wish that it's not as bad as expected, and that everyone's safe.

If it doesn't happen, then there'll be relief all round...Though the Tabloids would probably call for a witch-hunt at the BBC to find who panicked the viewers, and somebody will lose their job.

I'm inclined to blame Michael Fish.
