WOW

Big news in the astronomy world came out recently, with the first high definition photos of Mercury being taken as the Messenger spacecraft makes its leisurely way around the solar system.Click that bad-boy for a closer look.

I don't know about you, but I'm a bit disappointed. It's incredible yes, but it looks a bit like the moon to me. The amount of money that's being pumped into Nasa, you'd expect them to sex things up a bit....

As much as I love the idea of poking around new worlds, part of me does wonder why we don't care as much about Earth as we do about visiting the moon. If our planet reeeeeally is the only place in the galaxy with life on it, we probably should try harder to keep it nice and whatnot. Perhaps?
